Pictures from when I was in a Museum in Mesa Verde last year. Mesa Verde is a park where there are ruins from pre-European American settlements. There is also a park very near my home town of EspaƱola, called Bandelier national monument, where you can actually climb into some of the old cave dwellings of native Americans, and view the ruins of their societies. When I was a kid I used to find pottery fragments and arrowheads at different sites that I visted or hiked on. These images below are very familiar to me, but for those who are unfamiliar with Native American artefacts from the Southwest these are probably totally new.
Arrowheads and the stone for grinding corn.
