Amazing Murals

Neither Gurumustuk or I have yet mentioned to the cyber-sangat that we have two other amazing (more recently painted) murals that are in the Langar Hall. They are so beautiful!

Beautiful! Who painted them? I would love to get a print if possible.

I believe the primary artists were Amrit Singh and Nirbhe Kaur. Amrit Singh is the mukia jethedar here in EspaƱola, Nirbhe Kaur is his wife of many years. I have a few pictures of Amrit Singh in my archives. I have so much respect for him, he is the defintion of a Sikh.

Is he the 'gentle giant' as you once referred to him?

Yep that's the one. I have another picture of him also at the birthday celebration for the Siri Singh Sahib.

Great murals!!
Can you please ask Amrit Singhji if he tried to depict a US sangat in the 2nd mural?

Hi!! its me again. Looking closely at the 1st mural reminds me of spots in upstate NY along the Hudson river. It gives me a tingling feeling that Guru Nanak Devji has blessed America with his presence.

Is it just me, or are the people in the second mural you guys? Some of the people painted in the mural look like Gursikhs i have seen in your and Mr,Sikhnet's blog.

Yeah I think the people in the mural are based on people in the sangat. Some people that live here and some that used to live here. I can definitely recognize a number of people in the mural.
