Wheeler's peak

On Saturday I hiked to the top of the highest peak in New Mexico. Wheeler's peak is at 13,161 feet. We started by driving to the Taos ski basin early. I took so many pictures that I'll have to release them incrementally.
Just outside of Española we saw somebody out in a hot air balloon.
Closer picture of the balloon.
The Taos gorge.
Approaching Taos.
The mountains in the distant. They don't look that big do they? Trust me they're huge.
A view of the Taos ski basin in the summer from the parking lot.
Another view of the ski basin from the parking lot.
